2023-06-27 10:05:00

During the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area International Auto Show, which is scheduled to last from June 16 to 22, DeepRoute.ai is showcasing a car integrated with its latest Driver 3.0 map-free technology. Outside the exhibition center, amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, visitors are eager to experience the DeepRoute.ai Robotaxi service, embracing smart driving functions firsthand while gaining a sneak peek into the future of mobility. On the opening day, Maxwell Zhou, CEO of DeepRoute.ai, delivered a keynote speech titled "Democratized Autonomy Made Faster in the Age of AI."

The highest form of AI in the automotive industry is autonomous driving

AI has become a buzzword as ChatGPT ushers in a new era. This latest wave of AI has created various brand-new job opportunities such as prompt engineering, AI compliance, safety, and ethics professionals. When it comes to the automotive industry, autonomous driving is considered the highest form of AI. Just like ChatGPT, the rise of autonomous drivingis poised to revolutionize transportation, leading to the emergence of new job roles and transforming the way we live. This technological advancement will enhance efficiency, create numerous new job opportunities, and empower individuals to embrace diverse lifestyles.

Map-free technology will expedite the advent of generalized autonomy

To achieve the next peak AI moment in the automotive industry, a generalized smart driving solution is imperative. The key feature of such a solution is its freedom from driving area restrictions, eliminating the need for high-definition maps and enabling cars to drive anywhere. Other essential features include affordability, production-readiness, and compliance with automotive-grade requirements. Driven by this mission, we have been diligently researching and developing map-free technology since 2020, culminating in the release of Driver 3.0 in March. Within the framework of Driver 3.0, we launched two products, D-PRO and D-AIR, capable of navigating city roads, expressways, and highways without relying on high-definition maps. This substantial reduction in mapping and maintenance costs benefits OEMs and, ultimately, consumers.  It also enables full operational capabilities, serving as a significant differentiator from other offerings on the market.

Synergy across the value chain to usher in a new era of smart driving cars

DeepRoute.ai successfully secured an auto OEM project last year, allowing the company to accumulate a wealth of hands-on experience through collaborative efforts in mass-producing smart driving cars.Integrating smart driving solutions into various car models is a process that demands synergy across the value chain to deliver an enhanced and more comfortable driving experience to consumers. It also ensures rigorous verification and validation of both software and hardware components.  With its engineering capabilities continually advancing and a multitude of projects in the pipeline, DeepRoute.ai is poised to play a vital role in the upcoming AI revolution within the automotive industry.
