Yesterday, announced it has won major contract with OEMs for mass production of its Driver 3.0 High-Definition (HD) Map-Free solution for advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Since its inception, has been committed to developing a cost-effective, multi-sensor fusion, low-power inference engine, designed to scale up to fully autonomous driving.

Meeting automotive-grade requirements are safety critical for mass production. developed the HD Map-Free solution based on the scalable NVIDIA DRIVE Orin centralized compute platform for automakers across a broad range of vehicles.

Currently, most car companies and autonomous driving solution providers rely on HD map information to enable assisted driving functions and Robotaxi operations. However, being able to map all roads in cities and states is extremely expensive. As road maintenance and temporary traffic changes are common, the HD map also needs to be updated frequently in order to be accurate enough for highly automated and autonomous vehicles to drive safely. Additionally, mapping is also heavily regulated in China. As a result, has developed the Driver 3.0 HD Map-Free solution to help automakers decrease mass production cost and enable consumer autonomous vehicles to drive everywhere.

“Commercialization is always our top priority. We work with our OEM customers to understand their needs and empower them with the most innovative, affordable and comprehensive solutions available. Supporting are cutting-edge products from prominent partners such as NVIDIA that enable us to manufacture mass-market ADAS and autonomous vehicles at scale,” commented our CEO Maxwell Zhou on the wins.

The combination of DeepRoute’s production-ready, HD Map-Free solution and the automotive-grade NVIDIA DRIVE Orin system-on-a-chip (SoC) will enable faster adoption by automobile manufacturers, provide a safer driving experience, and accelerate deployment of advanced driver-assistance functions to consumer cars and beyond. is excited to work with NVIDIA. Delivering 254 trillion operations per second, the NVIDIA DRIVE Orin SoC is the central computer for intelligent vehicles. This automotive-grade SoC is designed to safely handle the large number of applications and deep neural networks that run simultaneously in highly automated and self-driving vehicles, while also supporting ASIL-D, the highest functional safety rating.
